Food & Wine Festival
A visit to Symposium of Parga 2017 is a fun day out for the whole family.
Parga is the home town of the original festival and it once again hosts this one day culinary food & wine festival in May
The first festival was held in 2015, organized by the Parga Gastronomy Club.
After the huge success, this summer is being organized once again.
The visitors that have free access to all culinary activities, they will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the local foodie community alongside chefs, bakers, pastry chefs, restaurateurs, artisan producers, distillers and brewers.
It’s a multiplex social event where the visitor has the option to visit the cooking theatre and watch live cooking demonstrations held by experienced chefs, as well as taste the Greek Cuisine.
For the children, our young visitors will have the opportunity to participate in cooking lessons.
Vegans and vegetarians won’t be disappointed as our chefs will fulfill their expectations for vegetarian cuisine.
Wine, Champagne and Draft-Beer
The OPEN-BAR will offer wine, champagne and draft beer.
For the visitors’ entertainment there will be a live band performing on the stage during the festival.
The festival’s moto is “Optimism, Creativity and fun”
More about Parga, Greece
Parga is a small and picturesque town, located in the Ionian coast in North West of Greece. It is called the little beautiful treasure of the Ionian sea.
It is situated opposite the island of Paxos, offering a breath-taking sun-set behind Paxos island, when the sun deeps into the Ionian blue every evening.
Besides the harbour, the visitors can walk around the small paths and the pedestrian streets of old town of Parga, where they can enjoy a drink or their dinner in the cute restaurants and taverns.
The average temperature in the town during the festival is 26 to 3O degrees C in May.
